The bear cub is carved from a single cedar log, about 80 cm tall — a solid, rounded figure rather than a detailed portrait. Knots and texture stay part of the animal.
It is at home in a garden; a coat of varnish or UV-protectant oil now and then keeps the weather off.

Cedar keeps working after it is carved. Small surface cracks — up to a couple of centimeters — can open over time; they are part of the wood, not a fault.
Maintenance: an occasional coat of teak oil, followed by hardwax oil, keeps the surface from drying out and slows further cracking.

Care
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Re-oil once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished. Wood is a living material — minor surface cracks of 1–2 cm are a natural characteristic, not a defect.
